چکیده

Despite advances in the treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), morbidity remains at a high level due to resistance SCC cells chemotherapeutics. This study aimed determine compare magnitude flavonoids’ effectiveness activating apoptosis migration arrest HNSCC vitro. Methods: Head Detroit 562 line were exposed range concentrations (5–100 μM) quercetin (Que), hesperidin (Hes) rutin (Rut) for 24 48 h. The viability rate investigated using cytotoxicity inhibition assays. Muse Cell Analyzer flow cytometry was utilized quantitatively assess Que, Hes Rut. morphology evaluated via hematoxylin-eosin staining. Results: diminishment 562-line treated with Rut h revealed significant dose-dependent trend, relatively equal three substances, whereas most noticeable cytotoxic effect observed Hes. Exposure exhibited increased proportion apoptotic cells, either necrosis or late stage. motility halted 100 µM dose Que. comparative results elucidated that Hesperidin Quercetin achieved more potent reduction Conclusions: Hesperidin, are capable inducing various extents, resulting proapoptotic attenuating effects different magnitudes.

Chenopodium Botrys as a Source of Sesquiterpenes to Induce Apoptosis and G1 Cell Cycle Arrest in Cervical Cancer Cells

Conducting cell apoptosis pathways is a novel strategy in cancer treatment. This study aimed to explain that C. botrys essential oil could induce apoptosis and arrest the cell cycle in HeLa cells. Cytotoxic and apoptogenic effects of the essential oil of Jerusalem-oak (Chenopodium botrys L.), which was obtained from the aerial parts of the plant, were evaluated in HeLa cells. Cell viability was...

CircRNA_0109291 regulates cell growth and migration in oral squamous cell carcinoma and its clinical significance

Objective(s): Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a new class of non-coding RNAs, have emerged as important regulators during tumorigenesis. However, the functions of circRNAs have not been completely clarified in the progression of cancers. In our study, a novel circRNA hsa_circ_0109291 was investigated in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues and cell lines. Materials and Methods: The expression ...

Induction of Cell Cycle Arrest and Apoptotic Response of Head and Neck Squamous Carcinoma Cells (Detroit 562) by Caffeic Acid and Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester Derivative

Natural polyphenols have been observed to possess antiproliferative properties. The effects, including apoptotic potential of bioactive phenolic compounds, caffeic acid (CA) and its derivative caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE), on cell proliferation and apoptosis in human head and neck squamous carcinoma cells (HNSCC) line (Detroit 562) were investigated and compared. Cancer cells apoptosis r...

Bufadienolides induce p53-mediated apoptosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cells in vitro and in vivo

Bufadienolides are a type of cardiotonic steroids isolated from the skin and parotid venom glands of the toad Bufo bufo gargarizans Cantor, and exhibit wide-spectrum anticancer activities. However, the effects and mechanisms of bufadienolides on esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) cells remain unknown. In the present study, the anticancer activities of two bufadienolides, bufotalin and bu...
